16th June ’08: Hello FM, Tamil Nadu’s leading Tamizh radio is co-partnering “Tamil Music Awards 08” organized by Social Media in association with Isayaruvi, one of the leading Tamil music channels in Tamil Nadu.
'Tamil Music Awards 2008', is the first initiative of its kind recognizing the achievements of the Tamil music fraternity exclusively with nominations and votes from the Public. As the Awards is based on Listeners Choice, Hello FM, the Radio Partner is sponsoring a mobile van that will travel across different cities in Tamil Nadu for listeners to cast votes for their favourite Music Artistes who have been nominated in various categories. The van will stop at various vantage points in each city for the public to cast their votes in various categories such as Best film music of the year, Best Lyrics of the year, Rising Star , Debutante in Tamil Music (Singer /Music Composer/Lyricist) , Best Sound Recordist, Best Remix Album of the year , to name a few.
To add to the Music Awards extravaganza, Hello FM has come up with an innovative contest that will be aired on Hello FM called the “Hello FM – Song of the Year”, wherein listeners can vote for their favorite song of the year and win many prizes in the process.
